After putting this map up to further scrutiny, I noticed that a few colonies from the imperial age of the United States are missing, such as Guam, American Samoa, Cuba, and the Philippines.

Also, the numbers do not reflect Canadians being absorbed by our drawing of boundaries at Minnesota (1818), Maine (1842), and near Oregon and Washington (1846), nor do they include Mexicans taken in after we fortified the north bank of the Rio Grande.
