    my cfg

    A few people have asked for this so I'll put it here. Just remember you are not me and you might have to toy with things such as rates. The CS:S servers cap at 66 but I use 77 cmdrate because the number means something to me, the higher number does nothing as far as I know, a higher updaterate does. You don't have my ping or the same internet connection so you may need to play with the net rates. Most of the time I have a 17 ping so I use 0's and let the server set some, that might be bad for some, for me I reg. kk Ima explain this as simple as I can, when I joined trP I couldn't even open console lulz.

    Copy this and put it in a new text doc.

    now once it is in the new text document, save as autoexec.cfg
    now you need to have hidden file types shut off, click on any folder, not file but folder. Now hit alt to bring up options,click on tools then folder options, then view. Make sure you check show unknown files,folders and make sure you uncheck hide extensions for unknown file types. That is it from there go ahead and exit the folder.
    Now you should have a text doc called autoexec.cfg.txt, if you already have the above set it will be ready now, skip this part.
    just delete the .txt from the end of the file, it will say the file may not be usable but do it anyway. Now you have a autoexec.cfg
    open steam,steam user, yourname,counter-strike, cstrike,cfg, if you are in the right folder you will see a config.cfg game.cfg etc. put it in there and launch game, now rape!

    Another way to save it would be when you save it change save type to "all files" and then put the name in " "

    "autoexec.cfg"

    the file will just have a .cfg extension then.

    For Solution

    cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 0

    needs to be 1 for bodies.

    For Redirects from the Eventscripts config's to work.. You need to change

    cl_showpluginmessages "0"
    to
    cl_showpluginmessages "1"

    I am always playing with the "NET" rates, this is just where I am at now. Might be good for some, might not be. I really don't know but I think even the capped 66 updaterate being higher was messing up my reg. I noticed the lerp dropped the higher it went but I have found the best/consistent reg with these changes.

    I think I'll try this out, thanks mud and bartuc. I've been using the default config forever and I don't know what to do lol.

    It might take a little time to get used to it, just switching the net rates I had to learn how and where to aim all over again but Like I said the end result was much better. I'm not saying everything regs but it seems to be a lot more consistent.

    Hey I had one wrong for all those that use this, the rate should be 100000 not a mill lol. I changed it above but if you already use this you might wanna make that change, i did.
